Learning Theories Useful for Teaching Mathematics
This website will demonstrate different learning theories that could be useful when teaching mathematics. Each page shows the separate theories that fall under each of the different paradigms. We have selected some particular theories in each of the paradigms (designated by ** at the beginning and end of the theory), that we feel would be useful to consider when teaching in a mathematics classroom. For each of the theories described we have provided an overview, when we think the theory would work, and when we think the theory would fall apart and not be useful. We have also included videos that help to show why the theories are useful.
